Club Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope you all enjoyed the break. We have a very busy 2.5 months to go before the trip!
Special thanks to Lehua Ho for helping at the Faculty Christmas Party!

I. Mandatory Parent and Student Meeting – Saturday, Jan. 16^th
9:00-10:30am, Ilima School Library
a. ALL students must attend
b. At least one parent/guardian must accompany student
c. We will be going over important info for the DC trip. PLEASE BE ON TIME!
d. Please bring a pen & paper to take notes!

II. Letters to the President – PAST DUE!!
a. Missing: Jayde Abdon, Tiffany-Joy Calaro, Tiffany McCoy, Alex Santos
b. Please turn in your letter to Ms. Inouye by Friday, January 8, 2010

III. Member Update & 2^nd Quarter Grade Checks – PAST DUE!!
a. Missing: Jayde Abdon, Angelika Antonio, Tiffany-Joy Calaro, Breanne Evans, Carlo Farinas, Raven Parado, Joseph Peralta, Lindlelyn Tabula
b. Member Update & Grade Check due to Ms. Inouye by Friday, January 8, 2010
c. Please remember that one grade check per quarter is required as stated in our club constitution
d. Students who are not achieving satisfactory grades will be required to attend tutoring after school this quarter – more info to follow

IV. 7-11 Coupon Books – 2^nd Round

a. We will only be passing out books by request so we don’t end up with leftovers.
b. Respond to this email with the number of books you would like to sell by FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 2010. Pick up will be at the parent meeting on Jan. 16^th.

V. Payments to Smithsonian
a. Individual portions from the Schoolwide Fundraiser and for chili are going out this week. We apologize for the delay, but the vice principals were not available to co-sign the checks over the break.
b. The deadline on the most recent donation letter was January 15^th. Donations from November through January 15^th will be paid to Smithsonian by January 31st.
c. Payment for the Schoolwide Fundraiser (club portion) and Winter Fair will be going out next week and are dependent on student participation in 2^nd quarter activities: Schoolwide Fundraiser, Winter Fair, Schoolwide Recycling, Meeting Attendance.
d. Payment for 7-11 Coupon books in December will also go out next week once the account clears.

           VI. Legal Names Needed
                              a. Lehua Ho and Julie Parado, can you please email me your names as they appear on your driver's license? We need them for the airline ticketing. Please get me your names by this end
                                  of this week. Mahalo.
