Good morning parents!
We are only 3 days away from our long-awaited trip! I want to cover some administrative business.
Checked Baggage Fee
If students are going to check a bag, they will be responsible to pay for the baggage fee, which ranges from $15-$25. Please provide your child with either cash or a credit card to pay for this expense. This cost is NOT covered by the tour.
Stay Warm!
Please make sure your child is packing appropriate WINTER gear. We will be walking around the city a lot and with the crazy East Coast weather (wind, snow, rain), I want to ensure that child are bundled up. Bring lots of socks, especially the thermal, woolen ones...They go a long way in staying warm. If your child hasn't brought in their winter coat to school for Ms. Inouye's approval, they need to do it ASAP!
Dress to Impress
Since we are going directly to the White House from the airport, please have your child pack a dress set of clothes that are appropriate in their carry-on luggage. For guys, a collared shirt, slacks, and dress shoes are appropriate while for girls, slacks, dress pants, sweater/shawl, long-sleeved blouses are best. I highly discourage girls wearing sun dresses or anything that might leave them chilly. THERE ARE NO SLIPPERS ALLOWED IN THE WHITE HOUSE! Make sure you have an appropriate set of footwear.
Need IDs
The following students have yet to submit a copy of their ID. Please make sure you hand them in by the Civic Club meeting this Thursday!!

Grade Check
Some students are reported to have low grades and missing assignments in their classes. Please work with your child to make up all of the outstanding work to pick up their grades. It reflects poorly on the club if a student who is not responsible in classes is given the privilege to go on this trip.
