About ILID:
ILID is a non-profit organization – a division of Kasturi trust, a
charitable trust established in 2004. ILID caters to leadership and
institutional development needs of social change organizations with
specific objectives of - capacity building and professionalizing the
development sector and bringing entrepreneurial approaches to solving
developmental problems. ILID has assisted more than 100 clients such
as Basix, Arghyam and Akshara foundation, in the achievement of
optimal results.

About Pygmalion:
Pygmalion was incubated by ILID in 2005 with the objective of
enhancing English language through the development of listening,
speaking, reading and writing skills of school going children.
Initially conceptualized as a computer based programme, Pygmalion has
since been running in more than 250 government schools in Karnataka.
Over the years, the programme has seen positive changes in classroom
participation and spoken English capabilities of children. With the
intention to scale up the programme across the state, ILID in
partnership with Akshara Foundation recently conceptualized and
implemented a non-computer based programme in 100 government schools
in Bangalore (Urban).

Job description:
• The Project Coordinator will be responsible for day to-day
operations, implementation and coordination of all Pygmalion
programme activities within Karnataka.
• S/he is expected to provide support in planning and implementation
of regular monitoring and evaluation activities, impact data
collection (qualitative and quantitative) and analysis.
• S/he has to liaise with external partner organizations, including
with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA, Govt. of Karnataka) as required for
arranging trainings of teachers, workshops and meetings.
• S/he should also assist the team in Pygmalion content development.
• S/he would report to Programme manager and is responsible for
preparation of periodic reports.

Desired profile of the candidate:
• The candidate should possess a graduate degree
• Should have 2-5 years of work experience in project coordination
• Should be fluent in both English and Kannada
• Should be comfortable with travelling within Karnataka (frequency:
at most twice a month)
