From sports to sparkles, your Galaxy phone has a theme for every style. You can customize the Galaxy themes, Samsung wallpapers, and icons on your device to fit your tastes. A theme can also change the color design for Contacts, Messages, Settings, and the Quick settings panel, so your device can truly be your own. And if you have a Samsung account, you can even download themes or icons you've already purchased on another device. To finish giving your device the perfect custom look, you can browse the phone cases available on our website.
You keep everything on your phone, including private information. With Secure Folder, you can hide your personal data using a special passcode. That way, no one will see anything you don't want them to see.
Sometimes app developers will release updates to fix bugs, or make improvements to their apps on the Play Store or Galaxy Store. Keeping your apps updated is the best way to make sure you always have the latest features and the best performance. You don't have to worry about keeping track of updates for every single app on your phone or tablet, however. You can turn on auto-updates and let it do it for you.
I have asked for dark mode to add theming ability ever since it came out. There was a certain version of the GTS that accidentally added that and people loved it. I got many reviews from people being happy that it was added.
The best feature for us, designers, but also for the users, would be to allow the user to select (easily) a different theme for dark mode. Then the theme(s) are coherent and the user will have the dark/light mode working very well. And we may sell more themes.
I think this matter is not taken as seriously as it should. I worked for 8 years as a mobile technician, met plenty of other technicians, came across a lot of clients (like a lot a lot) and I can say with absolute certainty there are many, many users who choose their smartphones (especially the rather younger ones) based on how much they can customize them. So, implementing this dark mode feature will not only improve theme sales (being able to create 2 themes in 1), but also the mobile device sales and I strongly believe that this improvement would be quite noticeable (not to mention that everyone on the planet would talk about it).
So a HUGE waste of money. I have bought many themes from the themes shop and now NOT ONE of my keyboards shows the new theme. They have all reverted back to the original grey/ black keyboard. Also any new themes I get, the keyboard doesn't change to the new theme. Thanks Samsung, you really know how to push your customers over to Apple. How can you keep advertising nice keyboards in your theme shop and then not giving us what we paid for. Blatant false advertising just to trick us into spending money and then not delivering what we bought. Fix this or face a class action lawsuit.
The themes are written by developers not Samsung @Interceptor22 so it might be beneficial to contact the developer of the theme to explain whats happening i.e the bug with keyboard and rhey may be able to help.
Thank you very much for the info. The reason I said Samsung is that the lack of keyboard support is coming from all the developers themes so I thought it must be the new Samsung update that has stopped the themes coming through more than the developers themselves.
My phone just updated as well and my keyboard theme no longer works. Way togo Samsung! Ugly flat keyboard that I paid for. Doesn't matter I shouldn't have to wait for a dev to fix when it was samsung that didnt make sure themes would stay working
So I just spent a ton of money on another Galaxy phone (despite all the trouble I had with the last galaxy) to keep my themes & you just didn't bother to fix this issue?! I think this phone is going back to the store & I'll find an adroid phone where the makers care about thier customers & the hudge amount of money spent on their products!
As for Theme Park, I made a theme, but an essential widget I use for my scheduling didn't work, so I had to revert to no theme at all. I've come up with a 'theme' I love with good wallpaper, and using QuickStar, Keys Cafe, and LockStar to theme what I can without making an overall theme. Other than the messaging app, everything looks great.
I am using a Samsung ZFLIP 5 and migrating to a new ZFLIP 5. I spent a week setting up the KEYS CAFE with specific tags on 100's of images that enables me to see pop up suggestions of memes in my text messages, and insert them easily. (LOVE KEYS CAFE!) and now that I am switching to a new phone, I need to know how to migrate those tags (app data) to a new phone? There does not seem to be any back up option?
While I am on here, if anyone knows of any other predictive image type of app exists besides Keys Cafe (My Stickers)? The big feature I need is the ability to type a word in my Samsung Messages app, such as "Thanks" and it will pop up a bunch of images which I have tagged with "#thanks"
I don't understand why that Samsung would allow people to "Tag" their photos, and then not allow those tagged photos to be used when text messaging with Samsung Messages?
How do I delete the ambient mode background theme based on the wall picture I took for my 2020 model Frame tv? The pic did not turn out right and I want to get rid of it but cannot seem to find out where you delete such themes.
@mzt: As you created the Background Theme via the SmartThings app, have you tried checking SmartThings to see if you're able to remove the image from here. Alternatively, why not try taking a new photo of your wall to see if you're able to improve on the existing image?
I solved it, I'm so happy I got rid of that stupid ugly double pic background theme, it would show up every time the TV screen transitioned to another screen, even when I set it to a different theme it would still show up, it was very annoying, it ruined my mood every time I saw it, at first I got rid of it by deleting the "SmartThings App" from my phone, it deleted the double pic from my TV, but when I re-installed the "SmartThings App" on my phone the double pic came back, but maybe it might work for you guys, this is what I did to delete the "SmartThings App" from my phone:
STEP 1: note: my TV was on and I was paired to the "SmartThings App" on my phone via "Bluetooth", after that I uninstalled the "SmartThings App" from my phone, then I turned off my phone and waited until it was off before switching off the TV, when I switched my TV back on the double pic was gone, I don't think you have to strictly follow all these steps but I thought I would mention them just in case because I'm certainly not going to try them again just to see if they work or not, I don't want to risk resetting my TV again and loosing all my settings, preferences and logins.
STEP 2: on your phone turn on "Bluetooth", open the "SmartThings App" and make sure the "SmartThings App" is paired with your TV, go to "Devices", now long press the TV icon until "Edit" pops up on the screen, you can also access the "Edit" feature by clicking on the TV icon and clicking on the 3 small dots on the top right of the screen, now click on "Edit", at the bottom of the screen you can select "Delete Device", deleting the "TV Device" from the "SmartThings App" might delete any personal "Ambient Mode" theme settings you might have had selected on your TV, after completing "step 2" you can also followed "step 1" and delete the "SmartThings App" from your phone and see if this works even better.
STEP 3: Open "Ambient Mode" on your Smart TV, press "Enter" on your TV remote and go over to the bottom left side of the screen where it says "Ambient Settings", above there should be an option to "Reset All Photos", click on it and hopefully it deletes the stupid double pic from your TV, like I said I didn't get to try these steps because I got frustrated and reset my TV before I learnt about these steps, but I hope this info works for you guys, please let me know if and which steps worked for you?
Thank you for your reply, I just tried your suggestion, I tried to long press the Smartthings icon on the Hub Menu on my TV, but nothing happens, on my TV all it does is open the SmartThings App, but the Settings options you mention in your comment don't appear anywhere on my TV, and trust me I have looked and gone through all settings and options on every inch of my TV, I think your method only works on certain Samsung models, unfortunately my TV is not one of them, thanks anyway, I appreciate the help, I still want to be able to set my own personal background themes on my TV without it being a complete nightmare.
Thank you so much, I was installing my tv yesterday and thought I try this function out. It made a horrible background where it just took the bottom section of a picture that was above the tv and repeated it three times and it kept showing everywhere and I couldn't find a way around it
@karyodevel hello, the execution in dark mode, is subject to the development of each application. If the developer has not developed his application to be executed in dark mode, this is not possible.
So it is a suggestion towards third-party app developers. Greetings.
This has been a thorn in my side for quite some time now. I eventually gave up on themes entirely, and created a custom one. There's a 3rd party app called Theme Park that lets you create custom dark mode themes (or light mode, or...). It's a bit of work to get it set up, and you don't get quite the same versatility you would with a customized launcher experience, but I've found it to be an effective compromise.
Before that, I just enabled dark mode manually in most of my apps (you can do it in chrome by adding the flag manually, for example) but with things like Samsung Health or a particular chat app I use, there's no manual dark mode adjustment so you need to toggle it from the drop-down below the notification shade, which is cumbersome and unintuitive.
I completely hear you. I have no idea why Samsung hasn't at least given creators the option of uploading custom dark-mode themes to the samsung store, by now, or why themes can't be created for tablets. (That's actually how I started using Theme Park in the first place.)
I wish you luck!
