Been working through an issue for 6 months with Ubuntu Mate 20.04 LTS Down speed capping at 115-140 Mbps on Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller . Upload speeds are reaching 800 - 950 Mbps, but this doesn't really help for daily work and activity. I hoped a kernel or driver update would be made available to bring this adapter back to 1 Gbps FULL capability. This has not happened.

Hi @lonestarmate,
Understood from other thread you have running that this happens on two HP Omen laptops but not on another Dell laptop (as you also posted above in your last reply).
Problem also exists when using livecd, correct?

When capping a bottle, your ultimate goal is to apply the perfect amount of torque. The perfect amount of torque properly seals the contents within your container making sure no leaking occurs. However, there are variables that can affect torque. One of these variables is momentum. Continue reading

Bird song has long been considered a sexually selected signal, used predominantly by male songbirds for territorial defense and mate attraction. However, reports and studies of female song are ever-increasing, and scientists have finally recognized that in many species both males and females can and do produce song. The historical misconception surrounding female song stems from the fact that the majority of past studies focused on migratory songbirds from the northern hemisphere, and within such migratory songbird species, female song is less common. Ornithologists have described female song as a hormonal aberration and a by-product of the sexual selection of male song with no function, but we are now finding that this is most likely not the case. Along with other laboratories, the Songbird Neuroethology Laboratory (SNL) has been investigating the production and function of female song, with a focus on Black-capped Chickadees.

While observations and studies of female song in Black-capped Chickadees are very sparse, female Black-capped Chickadee song seems to serve a similar purpose to male song. Early observations of breeding pairs indicate that while males produce the fee-bee song more often than females, both sexes produce the song to protect territories during the spring. Another study from SNL found that female song may serve a function in helping males recognize their mates. In order to be used for mate recognition, the fee-bee song would need to be unique enough to identify an individual. A recent study from SNL found that Black-capped Chickadees are able to identify the sex of an individual using different acoustic features within a song, and we can imagine that being able to determine the sex of an individual via song is beneficial in distinguishing between mate and non-mate, or friend or foe, whether conspecific, heterospecific, or a predator. So we took our investigation of individual identification one step further.

Black-capped Vireos are scarce, and the species was federally listed as Endangered in 1987 in the United States. In 2018, after extensive conservation efforts, it was removed from the list. Partners in Flight estimates that the U.S. breeding population is 11,000, rates the species a 16 out of 20 on the Continental Concern Score, and includes it on the Yellow Watch List for species with restricted ranges. Major threats include habitat loss and fragmentation because of agricultural and residential development. Nest parasitism by Brown-headed Cowbirds has also had a devastating impact on vireo populations, but conservation efforts to control cowbird populations has helped to reduce that impact. Habitat maintenance and habitat creation through prescribed burning are also positive management tools. Fire suppression is a serious threat to this species, as it encourages maturation of oak-juniper scrub into juniper habitats that the vireo cannot use for nesting.

The second FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot, also utilizing a custom-designed vacuum-style EOAT, picks a cap from the tray and places it into the torque station. A servo-driven pick-and-place unit transfers the syringe from the fill station to the final torque station. For screw type Luer-Lok caps the system will rotate the syringe to apply torque. A precision force sensor will detect the correct amount of torque and supply a pass/fail signal to the system. (The capping system will handle both press-on and tamper-evident Luer-Lok screw-on caps through the use of change parts.) The robotic system discharges the filled and capped syringes via a divided gravity chute to a customer-supplied discharge bin. In the event of a station error, bad syringes are discharged via the opposite side of the chute for customer inspection. Optional tray loading or conveyance systems may also be added to the system.

Measuring only 12 to 15 cm from bill-tip to tail-tip, the Black-capped Chickadee Poecile atricapilla is greenish-grey above with a white underside shading to light brownish buff along its flanks. Its long, dark-grey tail looks like a handle. A black cap, well drawn over sparkling eyes, covers its head from cone-like bill to nape, or back of the neck. Pure white cheek patches and a triangular black throat patch complete its most conspicuous markings. Because chickadees inhabit such a wide variety of climates and habitats, birds from different populations may vary somewhat in size and plumage.

A number of chickadee species resemble the Black-capped Chickadee. The Mountain Chickadee Poecile gambeli is distinguished from the Black-capped by a white line over the eye. In Canada, it lives only in the mountains of British Columbia and Alberta. The Mountain Chickadee is closely related to the Black-capped, and the two species hybridize, or interbreed, occasionally.

The Gray-headed Chickadee Poecile cincta is widely distributed across Asia and Europe. In North America, this brownish-grey chickadee is found in a small corner of the northwestern Yukon and eastern Alaska, where it lives in the willow and spruce woods bordering the treeline.

The Boreal Chickadee Poecile hudsonica has a seal-brown cap, greyish-brown above and dusky white or light grey below with rust-coloured sides. Its cheek patches are often dusky white and the throat patch is black. Like the Black-capped, it lives right across Canada, but resides in the belt of coniferous forest that extends to the northern treeline. Boreal and Black-capped Chickadees overlap at the edges of their breeding ranges, but do not hybridize.

In fall and winter, Black-capped Chickadees live in loose flocks of four to 12 birds. Each flock consists of mated pairs that bred locally the preceding summer, plus unrelated juveniles that have immigrated from surrounding populations.

From October to March, the flock flits from tree to tree over an area of 8 to 20 ha, meandering through long-established forest paths at a rate of about half a kilometre an hour. The birds keep in touch with each other by means of soft notes, sit-sit, uttered at intervals. Each flock defends its home range from other flocks using vocalizations and aggressive behaviour.

In the north, the chickadees usually roost in dense evergreen groves sheltered from the wind and snow. At roosting time, some of them disappear into any available hole where they spend the night, one bird to a hole. Others roost in the top branches of evergreens or low down in bushy young spruces. Night after night, the flock may use the same roosting place.

To keep warm the chickadee erects its soft, thick feathers to trap warm air close to its body. This serves as good insulation against the cold.

In early spring, the flock begins to break up, with paired birds spending daylight hours vigorously defending breeding territories from their former flockmates. During this period birds may still roost at night with their flock, especially during cold weather. Once breeding commences, a chickadee rarely strays from the 3 to 7 ha around its nest.
