Is anyone else having an issue with Apple TV being unable to connect to the server. Everytime I try to go into Netflix I get a message saying "Unable to sign in. Apple TV can't connect to the server at this time. Please try later." I have tried unplugging the ATV multiple times with no luck. I have been able to get into my netflix on my iMac so that doesn't seem to be the issue.
The only other thing I can suggest is to reset the settings: Choose General > Reset Settings from the main menu on Apple TV. That means you'll have to re-enter all your accounts and passwords (including your wireless network password). Pain in the neck, I know. And it still might not solve the problem. ?
I just had a similar issue, only the Settings, Computer, and Internet menus and nothing under the internet menu. Would not connect to my library under Computer. Unplugged the Apple TV, waited 20 seconds, plugged in. Full menu and Netflix came up.
I have HU8550, SEK 3500 set-up. Firmware 1453. Netflix app has been reinstalled. I still get the "cannot play title at this time" message on every title. Netflix works fine on all other devices in my house. Any ideas?
I get this problem all the time and I have the solution directly from Samsung. The reason they say this happens is that Netflix collects cookies in the TV and they told me how to clear the cookies. Unplug the TV wait 2 minutes exactly. While holding the power button on the remote plug the TV back on wait a minute for everything to boot up and connect to the internet and Netflix won't work I have to do this at least once a month and it works every time.
Was reading this thread thinking, hope this doesnt happen to my 32inch samsung....well it did approx 5 days ago...netflix started doing the 24-25% thing, then unable to play the movie....Im positive this occured post a firmware update of the TV....anyway, its not isolated to netflix, its the wireless software on the Samsung that is broken...It will connect after restarting the TV, but then slow down, and eventually disconnect from WAP, and you can only re-establish a wireless connection if you restart TV.
There is zero wrong with my wireless - I have 2 WAPS and 1 Wireless router....The Samsung TV has the same problem with all of them....all WAPS and router are approx 10 meters from TV - wireless reception is perfect.
Ive tried every combination of turn off/turn on(WAP/router/TV, tried resetting smarthub...you name it(Whats been suggested in this thread), Ive tried......This is a Samsung TV software issue(Wireless)...It has only occurred recently, so has to be due to the latest firmaware update...Samsung, take ownership of the issue, develop a fix, release a patched firmware asap.
Hopefully Samsung and Netflix will learn to play nice, I suspect Samsung is not following standards, but without source hard to tell. I could do a network capture, and see the request response, but I just want to binge watch imposters.
I contacted netflix and it is not them. If I cannot get this fixed I am going to remove this browser. What a pain?! I love mozilla but this is crazy. I tried some of the other things about this insecure connection and it has not helped....SOMEONE HELP ME
hello, first please make sure that the date, time & timezone are set correctly on your system. if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a solution depends on the individual circumstances:
www.netflix.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER
Ok...My computer will not let me use malwarebytes but I did the adwcleaner. Once finished I restarted my computer and I was able to log on but then I closed the browser and tried again and I got the same message as before....Insecure connection.
please see if you get the other two recommended malware removal tools to run when you start your computer into windows safemode (with networking enabled): -to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-8-the-easy-way/
I do not know why i am suddenly having this issue but essentially. I have been using Netflix and it has been fine but as of 3 days ago, all of a sudden there is content missing on my netflix when any device is connected to google wifi.
I can tell this is an issue with the wifi because using mobile data brings back the content as it was before. Netflix says that this is likely to be an issue with my ISP who have a vpn on or either if i use wifi extenders, which in this case would be google mesh system, the mesh system is changing my ip address and so netflix is getting confused and not giving me all the content. I contacted Virgin and they do not have any idea and they cannot see any vpns or any changes made to the ip address.
I can only assume its the google wifi. Not really sure what else to do, have factory reset it all and still having the same issues. Any help would be appreciated as i have no idea why this has only suddenly just started happening.
This problem recently surfaced for me on Netflix. When I direct connect my Roku via Ethernet, Netflix works fine. However via WiFi on my iPad, an Android tablet, or an Android phone, Netflix is erratic. Either content will not load, or there is constant buffering. When I use mobile data instead of WiFi, everything works fine. I am using the Nest mesh WiFi system with one satellite pod. Connection speed is 250 Mbps via fiber optic. All other streaming services work fine. Problem is only with Netflix.
I've just baught my HP laptop a few days ago for everyday use and I've downloaded the Netflix app but it wont work at all and just keeps buffering, I've updated the laptop and it still wont work, it also wont connect to my tv with a HDMI without crashing, please help
Posting on behalf of my father.
His netflix is not working in his house when connected to WIFI on any device. Disconnected from the wifi and use 4G and it works fine.
Virgin box is connected wirelessly and network test show it connected and working.
I downloaded the netflix app on my mobile and connected to his wifi - does not work. I try youtube while connected to the wifi and it works, google works etc etc. Disconnect from the wifi and netflix work it.
Seems like there is something on the wifi blocking netflix?
Hey @JamesB93,
Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.
Sorry to hear you father is having this issue with his Netflix, can you confirm for me is there any error codes or messages when you are trying to access Netflix at all?
Joe
I will need to have another look. They basically refer to netflix not being connected to the internet but clicking the button that says network test on the same screen shows that wifi is connected.
