IHSA Manual + Tournament Season!

Hey coaches!

Just a quick note that the IHSA Chess Manual has been posted both on the IHSA Chess site and the ICCA Documents page (https://www.ilchesscoach.org/resources/documents).

Be sure to download/print a copy to review with your team. 

There are several important updates (highlighted throughout the manual) to dates and protocols for the finals season. 

Also, don't forget to register for tournaments early! It helps hosts to get an idea of what teams plan on attending so they can plan logistics accordingly. Often, you can register with a "TBD" for your roster and then later, fill out your roster and lineup the week before the event. When you do so, please be sure to update your roster/lineup no later than the Wednesday before the event. And it's usually best to register your full roster and drop no-shows at check-in. If you have any questions about those tips, just shoot me an email!

Finally, welcome to all the new coaches! Thanks to the conference reps for keeping us updated, we've added about twenty new names to the list, with more rolling in every day.
