Hello Bird People,
I used to visit this place as it was a good place to see Henslow's
Sparrows but for the last two June visits I only was able to find one
Henslow's Sparrow & they were hard to find. But I am pleased to say
that today was back to the old visits as I found a total of 6
Henslow's & I saw 4 of them while singing. Three were in the actual
grasslands & 3 more were in the old field area north of the
grasslands. Also had at least 4 Bobolinks in the grasslands area.
That's more like it!

So 27 species at the Grasslands area plus roadside Crows for a day's
total of 28.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be all those Henslow's Sparrows & Runners-Up will
be the Bobolinks & the male Rose Breasted Grosbeak. I only saw one
other person today so it's not crowded here!
