Hello Bird People,

I have to be at the eye doctors at 2 pm so I had no time to go very
far. So I just watched the feeders at River Trails Nature Center. Saw
all the regulars except Chickadee but I also looked along the river &
had one surprise species there.

River Trails N.C. (9:15-10:30 am)

Feeders Only

Mourning Dove (2)
Red Bellied Woodpecker (1-M & 1-F)
Downy Woodpecker (1-F)
Hairy Woodpecker (1-M)
Blue Jay (2)
W.B. Nuthatch (2)
Robin (1, just passing through)
Cardinal (1-M & 1-F)
Tree Sparrow (1)
WHITE THROATED SPARROW (5)
Junco (2)
Red Winged Blackbird (2-M)
House Finch (5)
Goldfinch (9-10)
House Sparrow (~20)

Along The River

Mallard (6), Robin (~10), Starling (~20), CEDAR WAXWING (14) & Red Wings (2)

Again not much but I had 18 species at River Trail plus roadside
Pigeons for a total of 19.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the Cedar Waxwings & Runners-Up to the White
Throated Sparrows.
