Still trying for a Sedge Wren for my year list today I tried Deer
Grove East as Ebird showed they have been reported from here lately. I
don't know about you but if I have seen a species at a certain
location I always go right back to where I saw it previously as if
they liked it there once they should like it there again. But that did
not work today as I spent a long time looking where I had seen them
before & came up empty. Eventually I wandered all over Deer Grove &
heard a Sedge Wren singing like crazy nowhere near my previous
sightings. It took 2 hours to find it & then another 15 min before I
could see it. Quite a project!

So I had 33 species at Deer Grove East plus 1 roadside addition for a
day's total of 34.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the finally found Sedge Wren & Runner-Up the
Henslow's Sparrow.
Next project will be to find a Clay Colored Sparrow & I know of 2 or 3
places to look.
