nighthawks are migrating now at 5:30 pm

I know it is hot outside, but nighthawks are migrating now.   I had a flock of 10 at 5 pm.  It is only 5:30 pm and I have counted 16 birds so far. Perhaps the numbers will pick up as it gets later?  I don't remember watching a spring nighthawk migration before.  

 

If anyone has a chance to get to Montrose, it is fantastic there, birds are everywhere.
