to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
First I checked the Alders by the upper level parking lot but once
again I found no Siskins either in the Alder Trees nor underneath
them. Third time was NOT the charm!
N.U. Lagoon (11 am)
Canada Goose (~100)
Mallard (18-20)
Redhead (25-30)
Goldeneye (2)
Hooded Merganser (2-F)
Common Merganser (2-M & 1-F)
Ruddy Duck (2-F)
It was so cold & windy that's all I felt like doing.
Bird-Of-The-Day to the Ruddy Ducks & Runner-Up to the Hooded Mergansers.
Didn't do well with birds but being in Evanston I saw some rare
license plates while off campus.
One each from North Dakota, Utah & best of all Delaware which I
consider one of the hardest
plates to find.
