Hello Bird People,

Quite a day at Montrose today! I had 76 species total including 22
species of warblers. Of course I was there for 6 hours & 15 min so I
should have had a good total. But I am not up to listing 76 species so
I'll just do my list by families & mention some highlights.

Other highlights included an AMERICAN BITTERN hiding in the Butterfly
Meadow & a
BLACK BELLIED WHISTLING DUCK that ended up in the Golf Course Pond.
I must thank Joe F & others for help with finding the Bittern & Noah W
who after I proved unable to see the Black Billed Cuckoo put it in
view in my scope which was the only way I was going to see that
Cuckoo.

So as mentioned above I had 76 species for the day, a very high total
by my standards anyway.
Birds-Of-The-Day will be both the Yellow Billed & Black Billed
Cuckoo's & Runners-Up will be the Whistling Duck & the American
Bittern.
