to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
Did my weekly visit to the Wood Dale Reservoir complex with Luis M.
Water levels are down a little with a little bit of mudflats
appearing. Only had 6 species of shorebirds but that's more than we
have been seeing. We were joined by Bob & Kyle at the end of our
visit.

Landbirds
Had 22 species of landbirds with some of the more interesting being
Eastern Phoebe, 3 Catbirds, a still singing Warbling Vireo, a
Swainson's Thrush & Warblers were Redstart, Palms,
Common Yellowthroat & a Wilson's Warbler. Luis also saw a Magnolia
which I missed.
So 39 species at Wood Dale plus roadside Pigeons for a day's total of 40.
Luis thinks that Bird-Of-The-Day should go to the Kestrel family so
that's what we'll do
Runner-Up will be the 2 Stilt Sandpipers which were the top bird here
last week.
