Hello IBETers:
Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center, 9800 Willow Springs Road in Willow Springs, will be featuring two free screenings of my birding documentaries in the next two weeks. First, there's THE WORLD OF MONTY AND ROSE (50 minutes) on Wednesday evening, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. (English with Spanish subtitles). The film is a comprehensive look back at the lives of Chicago's Piping Plovers. It's a great primer in case you don't know much about the birds and how they became household names in Chicago. If you're interested in attending, you must call the Nature Center at
708-839-6897 to RSVP by this Monday.
The following week, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, the Nature Center will offer a free screening of THE MAGIC STUMP (20 minutes), which explores the mysteries of one of Illinois' quintessential birding hotspots. Again, please call the Nature Center at
708-839-6897 to RSVP for this free showing.
And don't forget to check out the Nature Center's famed feeders for interesting fall migrants when you visit!
Thank you,
Bob Dolgan
