IBET From time to time I would report on Burbank IL monk parakeets. Burbank has been hit by 3 powerful storms in the last 3 weeks, many trees down and power outages.
It was reported on Facebook that a very popular spot to see Monk Parakeets has had the large condo pine tree completely blown down. This tree was located in front of the school at 83rd just east of Harlem.

That's really sad to hear! I drive by this tree often to check out the parakeets! I live near Liberty Jr. High and these guys hang around my feeders every day. I believe they nest nearby but haven't spotted another nest yet.
