Hello Bird People,

Well today was the day we have been waiting for! The southwest winds
brought in a large number of migrants of all kinds. We were at
Montrose for 5 hours as there was so much to see. I had 15 species of
Warblers & Bob E had 18. I saw all the Thrush species (except Blue
Bird), 2 species of Flycatchers, 6 species of Sparrows plus 5 Rose
Breasted Grosbeaks & 2 beautiful Scarlet Tanagers. Here's my list.

So 71 species for the day which is my best one day total this year.
Also had 15 new year birds.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the Golden Winged Warbler & Fancy Pants Bird
Of The Day will be the Scarlet Tanager which is a red color like no
other. Runners-Up to the Black Throated Blue Warbler & the distant
Piping Plover. The Burrowing Owl was seen again today but not by me.
