Hello Bird People,
Since there were east winds I tried a Lake Watch at Gillson Park. But
I saw nothing in the Gull department except Ring Bills on the beach &
Herring Gulls flying over the lake. Hopes for Sabine's Gulls & Jaegers
did not materialize for me.
My Sparrow search did not work out very well either. Saw one Song
Sparrow & a flock of White Crowned & White Throated Sparrow with no
Harris's mixed in. Also 4 Junco's in that flock.
Only 20 species for the day with Bird-Of-The-Day being a fly catching
Eastern Pewee & Runner-Up going to a Nashville Warbler. A slow day
indeed.
