I saw some more birds on the far away tower this morning and took a long look at them with my Questar and found that they are tree swallows. It is difficult to see them well, as they are far away and yesterday I spent more time trying to take photos of them than actually trying to identify these far away specs. The birds I saw today had white throats so they are definitely tree swallows.
I'm glad they came back so I had a chance to change my misidentification on ebird yesterday.
I posted them on ibet hoping that someone else would have a chance to see this large flock of swallows as they headed further south.
I'm still glad there are a lot of tree swallows though, as they also like mosquitoes as much as martins do!
