Robins

I've noticed lately that there are multitudes of robins, eating in the parks of our area. Never seen so many! Would they be preparing to head south?

Also, I've noticed the absence of Grackles. Perhaps they've already gone.  Out Baltimore Orioles left at the end of August,  right on time.  My friends in Texas are reporting the RETURN of Orioles!

AND, starling are present in large groups, ready to murmurate.
