The male Harlequin Duck continues at the Whiting Refinery Beach outlet, Lake County, Indiana with Great Black-backed Gulls.The access to the Whiting Refinery service road is on the right, before entering Whiting Park. It is the Whiting Water "Purification" Plant service road across the railroad tracks at 119th and Front Streets in Whiting. Take the potholed service road all the way to the end where there is a beach at the end of the plant.
