Hello Bird People,
Not walking very well today so I settled for two local places which
were easy to navigate.
Techny Basin (8:10-9:45 am) (This place has very high water everywhere)
D.C. Cormorant (2)
Great blue Heron (2)
Great Egret (4)
Canada Goose (7 fly-bys)
Mallard (11)
Red Tailed Hawk (1)
Rock Pigeon (4 fly-bys)
Mourning Dove (1)
Red Bellied Woodpecker (1)
Flicker (2)
Blue Jay (4)
Crow ( H-2)
Robin (5)
Starling (4)
Yellow Rumped Myrtle Warbler (8)
Song Sparrow (2, singing)
Red Winged Blackbird (4, with 2 singing)
Goldfinch (2)
House Sparrow (2)
Air Station Prairie (10-10:30 am) (No interesting sparrows today, in
fact no sparrows at all)
Canada Goose (4 fly-bys)
Starling (a flock of 15)
Robin (1)
Palm Warbler (1)
Goldfinch (8)
House Sparrow (10)
So 19 species at Techny Basin & only 6 species at Air Station Prairie
with a days total of 20.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the very yellow version of a Palm Warbler &
Runner-Up to the very loud Red Bellied Woodpecker. Slow going indeed.
