4/12/25: (2) Piping Plovers arrived @ Montrose yesterday!

Yesterday we heard the exciting news that TWO Piping Plovers arrived @ Montrose.
One is a repeater from last year, Pippin (aka "green dot")
The other is a hatch from Michigan, Uncle Larry.
This morning they were foraging along the shoreline:

Along with several other birders, my wife and I saw a Piping Plover feeding in the bracken on the public beach at Montrose mid-afternoon today. It had a green band on the upper right leg, so I assume it was Pippin. We did not see Uncle Larry.
