An update on the local kestrels.  I don't know if they did nest in our immediate area or if they are visiting from elsewhere but I did have an adult male calling to an immature male a few days ago and also heard one calling before that but didn't find it then.  Finally found them this time in a treetop with dead branches.  Pretty cool.
