Hello Bird People,

Tried again to see one of the Wilson's Phalaropes but again I found
none. But one of the workers there told me that they were still around
even if I can't find any.

Muirhead Springs (7-10 am)

East Pond

D,C. Cormorant (1 fly-by)
Great Blue Heron (1)
Great Egret (2, but 1 chased away by the other)
Green Heron (2)
P.B. Grebe (1)
Mallard (1-F)
Killdeer (12)
Greater (H-1) & Lesser (9) Yellowlegs
Spotted Sandpiper (5)
Least Sandpiper (6)
SHORT BILLED DOWITCHER (Two groups totaling 16)
Barn Swallow (2)

Main Pond

P.B. Grebe (2)
Great Blue Heron (5)
Great Egret (7)
Canada Goose (6) & Mallard (5)
Killdeer (3)
Greater (1) & Lesser (2) Yellowlegs
Tree (4) & Barn (2) Swallows
Marsh Wren (H-2)

Saw one Red Tailed Hawk along the roadside on the way in & one Sedge
Wren was still singing on the way to the East Pond. Plus more common
landbirds including 3 Dicksissels.

So 32 species for the day at Muirhead. Bird-Of-The-Day to all those
Short Billed Dowitchers
& Runner-Up to the Green Herons. Except for the Dowitchers it was
another slow day.
