Hello Bird People,
Only a little time for birding today so I took a quick look at Techny
North. The water is down & the mudflats are back & a few shorebirds
were present but nothing rare. I was with Laura B for a while.
Techny North (11-11:35 am)
D.C. Cormorant (1, found by Laura)
Great Blue Heron (1)
Mallard (6-AD & 6 ducklings)
Killdeer (6)
Spotted Sandpiper (7)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (4)
Dunlin (3)
Tree (8), Rough Winged (4) & Barn (2) Swallows
Robin (2)
Starling (2)
Warbling Vireo (H-1)
Yellow Warbler (H-1)
Red Wings (3)
Grackles (4)
So only 16 species for my rather limited day of birding.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the three Dunlin & Runners-Up to all the Swallows.
