to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
Spent five hours here today partly as there were a lot of birds to
look at & partly as I get older I move much slower. Not much I can do
about that though. The mudflats are mostly underwater with only a few
Killdeer there. Lots of Fall migrants to look at although I was unable
to find a Harris's Sparrow or Pine Siskins.

Canada Goose (102, most in the Northern Lake)

So 36 species at the Botanic Garden plus roadside Pigeons for a day's
total of 37.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the Blue Headed Vireo & Runners-Up will be the
young Bald Eagle , the Black Duck, the 2 remaining Hummingbirds & the
four Red Breasted Nuthatches.
