Hello Bird People,
Found very few birds today but Techny Basin has the start of mud edges
for the 1st time this summer. Not many shorebirds though.
Techny Basin (8:30-10 am)
D.C. Cormorant (1 fly-by)

Canada Goose (6 fly-bys)
Mallard (54)
Cooper's Hawk (2, fly-bys)
Red Tailed Hawk (1)
Killdeer (2)
Lesser Yellowlegs (1)
Solitary Sandpiper (1)
Spotted Sandpiper (1)
Ring Billed Gull (17, roadsides)
Rock Pigeon (34, roadsides)
Mourning Dove (10)
Eastern Kingbird (only 1 remaining)
Blue Jay (H-2)
Robin (4)
Starling (2)
Warbling Vireo (H-1)
Palm Warbler (1, mudflats)
Goldfinch (2)
Techny North (10:15-11:20 am)
D.C. Cormorant (1)

So 24 species at the 2 Techny's plus 1 roadside addition for a day's
total of 25.
Not much to choose from but Bird-Of-The-Day will be the remaining
Eastern Kingbird & Runner-Up will be the mudflat Palm Warbler.
