lapland longspurs still at Lake Opeka

I just came home (1:15pm) after a short stop at the Lake Opeka boat launch.

13 Lapland Longspurs were on the asphalt, ice and piers ( moving about, and once flushed by gulls) just down the hill from the parking area.

A few of them in this photo.

The launch is at Howard Avenue west of Lee St. Des Plaines ( just west of The Foxtail).

i didn't have time to check for the ducks at the south end of the lake
