Hello Bird People,
Just another easy going day of local birding. Didn't see anything
special but did see a couple of
fairly interesting birds. Here's my day list.
Techny Basin (8-10 a.m.)
Great Blue Heron (3 still remaining)
BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON (1-IM hanging on)
Canada Goose (11 flying by)
Mallard (47)
Herring Gull (1-AD & 1-IM)
Rock Pigeon (7)
FLICKER (2, together)
Blue Jay (2)
Crow (also 2)
Starling (4)
Tree Sparrow (2)
Junco (2-3)
House Finch (10)
Goldfinch (26)
House Sparrow (7)
Techny North (10:10-10:40 a.m.)
Canada Goose (81)
Mallard (17)
Black Duck (2, did not see the hybrid today)
Green Winged Teal (2)
Herring Gull (1 adult fly-by)
Blue Jay (H-2)
Adding the Robins I saw at home I had 18 species for the day.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the young Black Crowned Night Heron &
Runner-Up to the Flickers.
