Hello Bird People,
Feeling kind of lazy today so I didn't go very far.
Techny Basin (8-10 a.m.)
D.C. Cormorant (1)
Great Blue Heron (5)
(No Egrets today)
BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON (1-IM)
Canada Goose (176, on the lawns)
Mallard (only 3)
Cooper's Hawk (1, caught a small mammal)
Killdeer (11, but scared off by the Cooper's Hawk)
Pigeons (~25) & Mourning Doves (2)
Blue Jay (4)
Chickadee (3)
RED BREASTED NUTHATCH (1, maybe 2?)
Ruby Crowned Kinglet (2)
Robin (10) & Starling (34)
Yellow Rumped Myrtle Warbler (6)
Song Sparrow (1)
White Crowned Sparrow (5)
Junco (6)
Red Wings (24)
RUSTY BLACKBIRD (5)
Goldfinch (11)
House Sparrow (6)
Techny North (10:15-11:15 a.m.)
Great Blue Heron (4)
(No Egrets here either)

So only 29 species today & most were common birds. Bird-Of-The-Day to
the Sora by the cattails & Runners-Up to the Red Breasted Nuthatch,
the Rusty Blackbirds & the young Night Heron.
