Hello Bird People,
Finally got to do a Lake Calumet area trip today but turns out that
was a mistake as Amar & Co found a Russian Common Gull at Waukegan &
we were too far away when I heard about it & it was gone before I even
got home let alone to Waukegan. Sometimes my schedule leaves something
to be desired.

Hooded (10), Common (16) & Red Breasted (12) Mergansers

Monk Parakeets (6 seen & many more heard)
So 30 species at my 3 locations plus roadside Pigeons for a day's total of 31.
Bird-Of-The-Day to the Wild Turkeys & Runners-Up to the Trumpeter
Swans, the Shoveler
& the Monk Parakeets.
