Hello Bird People,
Had to run errands & do chores today so my birding was very short.
Just did the two Techny's.
Techny Basin (8:15-9:15 am)
Great Blue Heron (4) & Great Egret (2)
Canada Goose (7) & Mallard (11)
Killdeer (1 or 2)
Rock Pigeon (11) & Mourning Dove (2)
Kingfisher (1 fly-by)
Red Bellied Woodpecker (H-1)
Blue Jay ((H-1)
Starling (3)
Palm Warbler (1)
Goldfinch (4)
Techny North (9:25-10:25 am)
Great Blue Heron (2) & Great Egret (2)
Canada Goose (14) & Mallard (4)
Killdeer (8)
Spotted (1) & Pectoral (1) Sandpipers
Cooper's Hawk (1)
Kestrel (1)
Blue Jay (H-2)
Eastern Meadowlark (1, Singing)
Goldfinch (4)
House Sparrow (H-2)
So 13 species at Techny Basin & also 13 at Techny North for a total of
19 for the day.
Not much to choose from but Bird-Of-The-Day will be the singing
Meadowlark as I haven't heard one singing for quite a while. I guess
Runner-Up can be the Pectoral Sandpiper.
