Montrose Beach & Lawns Sunday 10-26-25

Hello Bird People,

Won't do a regular report today as I had nothing but trouble at
Montrose today & saw few birds.
Came in from the Foster entrance & found the road was blocked for yet
another big race. Had to park at about Lawrence & walk in. Big setup
on the lawn by the Dock. Started by walking the pier but no Snow
Buntings, Horned Larks or Longspurs, only saw the Coots (5) by the
fish hook area.
Waves were splashing spray on the pier so got a little wet on that
walk. Did a short lake watch but only saw Cormorants (3) & Herring
Gulls. Gave up but when I tried to leave, they had blocked all the
exits toward Foster. Finally they opened one lane for me & I
thankfully got to leave.

Not a day to remember & I hope tomorrow is better.
