If you are thinking of going birding in NE Illinois on Saturday at all, which looks to be a very nice weather day, and likely a decent migration overnight Friday to Saturday, no matter where you go, your sightings can be of importance in the Illinois Spring Bird Count.

A number of birders in Cook County have contacted me in the past week, so that all the Priority Areas that had 'lost' folks who weren't able to help in their usual areas this year, now have volunteers willing to check those areas, and all of the main wetlands in the Calumet/SE Chicago are now being 'covered' too. - Thanks to all who volunteered!
 
One last mention of parks, preserves and cemeteries in Cook County where no one has volunteered to count birds in, divided into sections to be easier to pick up if you have free time on Saturday are:
