Techny Basin Monday 4-27-26

Hello Bird People,

This almost never happens but here is an early daily report. This due
to being rained out & having to quit before I was done.

Techny Basin (8:40-10:15 am)

Went today to look for the Yellow Headed Blackbird seen yesterday.
Couldn't find one at 1st but later saw 2 of these Blackbirds thanks to
the good spotting of Jayne L.

Mallard (10)
Blue Winged Teal (12)
Lesser Scaup (1-PR)
Ring Necked Duck (1-PR)
Ruddy Duck (1-M)
Killdeer (6)
Lesser Yellowlegs (2)
Solitary Sandpiper (3)
Spotted Sandpiper (4)
LEAST SANDPIPER (1) (FOY)
Pectoral Sandpiper (2)
Dunlin (1)
Snipe (2)
Ring Billed Gull (1)
Robin (10)
Song Sparrow (2)
Red Wings (15) & Grackles (2)
YELLOW HEADED BLACKBIRD (2-M)

Rained out by 10:15 or so. Had 20 species at Techny Basin & 2 roadside
additions for a final total of 22. Bird-Of-Day to the Yellow Headed
Blackbirds & Runner-Up to the FOY Least Sandpiper. Had 8 species of
shorebirds & 5 species of ducks.
