It's not uncommon to leave unfinished projects on the deck in the autumn awaiting for Springtime to finish and that is where a cedar board project is leaning from the deck to the home, fairly near the feeders. After missing the Tufted Titmouse for several years, she has returned to gracefully forage among the fir and pines. The chickadees being nearby, deftly hid a sunflower seed on my fallow project. Unexpectedly the titmouse, within seconds, was on that oily and carefully checked out any other hiding spots among the upright boards! Satisfied she'd gotten all the easy pickings, for now, she flew away to enjoy her findings.
