to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
Saw reports from here that there was a Long Billed Dowitcher & a
Cackling Goose being seen so I thought maybe I could find them too.
Found the Dowitcher but not the little Goose. Walked the whole 2 mile
loop path as I haven't been here in a few years so I wanted to see the
entire place. Had to wait to get in as the gate is supposed to be open
at 6:30 but wasn't unlocked until 7:15 am.

Bird-Of-The-Day to the Long Billed Dowitcher & Runner-Up to the
Lincoln's Sparrow.
This is a good place for Nelson's & LeConte's Sparrows but I can no
longer get off trail
to look for them. And if you go off trail the police give you grief anyway.
