to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
Finally decided it wasn't going to be raining at least for a while so
I made the short drive to the two Techny's. Techny Basin has very high
water & doesn't look like there will be shorebird habitat any time
soon & maybe not for the rest of the shorebird season. This is no
surprise as there's been no mudflats all Summer this year. Techny
North also has high water & almost no mudflats but if the rain ever
stops it could make a comeback unlike Techny Basin. Needless to say I
saw no shorebirds at all today.
