Hello Bird People,

In between the rain I stopped at Air Station Prairie in Glenview to
see if the grass & field areas had any Sparrows yet but only found 2
Song Sparrows & 1 White Crowned Sparrow. So I guess the Sparrows are
still to come. Here's what I did see although it wasn't much.

Air Station Prairie (9:45-11 a.m.)

Red Tailed Hawk (1-IM)
Mourning Dove (4)
Flicker (2)
Blue Jay (H-1)
Crows (2)
Robins (3)
Starling (3)
Palm Warbler (2)
Song Sparrow (2, with 1 singing)
White Crowned Sparrow (1-AD)
Red Winged Blackbirds (one flock of about 20 birds in the cattails)
(Several were singing.)
House Finch (2)
Goldfinch (~20)

Took a quick look at Lake Glenview from the north parking lot & saw
about 8 Cormorants, 2 Canada Geese, 1 Gull Species & heard 1 Killdeer.
On the ground with a flock of House Sparrows I saw 2 female Cowbirds
which I haven't seen in a while. Slim pickin's indeed!

Bird-Of-The-Day to the adult White Crowned Sparrow & Runner-Up to the
Red Tailed Hawk.
