Hello Bird People,
Well today I said goodbye to June 2026 by visiting both Techny
locations. Saw mostly regular birds but did see one southbound migrant
shorebird, the 1st of the season for me. It was another "beat the heat
day".

So 29 species at Techny Basin & 21 species at Techny North with a
total of 34 for the day.
Bird-Of-The-Day will be my 1st migrant shorebird, the Least Sandpiper.
Runners-Up to the Black Crowned Night Heron, the Caspian Terns & the
Cliff Swallows.
License Plate Of The Day to one from Alaska seen in Des Plaines on the
way home.
This was that new Alaska plate which is harder to I.D. than the old ones were.
