to IBET - Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts
Hello Bird People,
It's amazing how many folks go birding at Montrose every day. There
were 56 Ebird checklists from Sunday & even on weekday Monday there
were over 20. Probably even more as not everyone does Ebird
checklists. But there sure are a lot of birds to see at Montrose &
that's why.

WHITE FRONTED GOOSE (1, seems like its been here forever)
Canada Goose (~100)
SURF SCOTER (1, continuing)
WHITE WINGED SCOTER (1, a new arrival)
Ruddy Duck (1)
Coots (6)
SANDHILL CRANE (1, I have never seen one walking around on the beaches before)
Killdeer (1, flying by)
GREATER YELLOWLEGS (7, reported 1st by Jobi G.)
Ring Billed (18) & Herring (3) Gulls
Red Tailed Hawk (1 fly-by)
