Hello Bird People,

Spent most of my time at the mudflats looking at shorebirds, herons &
egrets but also saw lots of Swallows & a loud Marsh Wren. Santo also
told me about a Dickcissel he had seen but I could not find it
although I had seen it a week or so ago. Also birded with Paige &
David for a while & saw Sean M early on.

Wood Duck (1)
Mallard (15)
Osprey (1, hunting)

Least Sandpiper (8)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (1)
Pectoral Sandpiper (1)
Caspian Tern (15-AD & 3-IM)
Rock Pigeon (5, roadsides)
Mourning Dove (3)
Kingfisher (1)
Purple Martin (12)
Rough Winged (2), Cliff (2) & Barn (10) Swallows
Blue Jay (2)
MARSH WREN (1, heard & briefly seen)
Robin (10)

House Sparrow (10-12)

So 31 species at the Garden plus one roadside addition for a day's total of 32.
If I had seen the Marsh Wren better it would have been Top Bird but as
I did not
Bird-Of-The-Day will be the young Black Crowned Night Heron &
Runners-Up will be
the Marsh Wren & the Osprey.
