Hello Bird People,

Not much special was seen today. At Baker's I saw what I always see &
at Techny North shorebirds were fewer than the last two days.

Baker's Lake (8-9:10 am)

WHITE PELICAN (2, maybe 3?)
D.C. Cormorant (125, actual count, not an estimate)
Great Blue Heron (only 3 today)
Great Egret (27)
Canada Goose (19)
Mallard (6)
Killdeer (14)
Spotted Sandpiper (4)
Pectoral Sandpiper (1)
Least (2) & Semipalmated (1) Sandpipers
Ring Billed (1) & Herring (2) Gulls
Caspian Tern (38)
BALD EAGLE (1-AD)
Osprey (1, hunting)
Red Wings (2) & House Sparrow (2)

Techny North (10:15-11:15 am) (Here I was joined by the Warners,
here's what we saw)

D.C. Cormorant (1)
Great Blue Heron (2)
Mallard (5-AD & 16 ducklings)
Chimney Swift (2)
Killdeer (19)
Lesser Yellowlegs (2)
Solitary Sandpiper (4)
Spotted Sandpiper (11)
Least (15) & Semipalmated (8) Sandpipers
Caspian Tern (only the adult showed up today)
Crow (H-1)
Rough Winged & Barn Swallows (no counts)
Eastern Meadowlark (2) & Red Wings (2)

So 25 species at my two locations plus 3 roadside additions for a
day's total of 28.
Bird-Of-The-Day to the White Pelicans & Runner-Up to the adult Bald Eagle.
