JOB DESCRIPTION

jobstechnical.comWill serve as a
Systems Administrator for approximately 30remote sites and the corporate
site. Will be involved in putting RadioFrequency devices at 10 plant
locations over the next 12 months. Will alsobe installing new releases
of Progress. Additionally, there are numerous NTand Web projects
underway. Will add and delete users at all locations,design quotations
and specifications for new sites, design and implementTCP/IP LANs,
perform network security, and Internet design andimplementation. Will
also perform UNIX and network performance tuning,Progress database
administration/performance tuning, system backups,application performance
profiling and design and implement system utilitiesin Perl and Korn shell.
Firewall administration and TCP/IP and SNAcommunication for remote
sites are also part of this positionisresponsibilities. EXCELLENT

2+ years of experience with UNIX systems administration

wiringtopologies, Novell & NT, TCP/IP, X.400, email messaging, security,
Progressdatabase, data collection hardware, Internet tools, Intranet
tools, projectmanagement skills
