Dear colleague,

it is our pleasure to announce the ISAPP 2024 Summer School “Particle Candidates for Dark Matter”.

The International School on AstroParticle Physics (ISAPP) is a network of currently 41 European Institutions created to organize a common curriculum in Astroparticle Physics at the level of a Doctorate School. This school has been approved by the ISAPP Steering Committee. You can find more info about ISAPP here: https://www.isapp-schools.org

The ISAPP 2024 Summer School “Particle Candidates for Dark Matter” aims to expose young researchers to the broad theoretical landscape of dark matter particle candidates. Topics will include motivated candidates from the top-down, early universe scenarios for dark matter genesis and detection strategies. Lectures will be given by:
  • Laura Baudis (University of Zurich): Direct Detection
  • Francesca Calore (LAPTH Annecy): Indirect Detection
  • Laura Covi (University of Gottingen): WIMPs
  • Joshua Foster (MIT): Statistical Tools for Dark Matter Experiments
  • Igor Irastorza (Zaragoza University): Axion Experiments
  • Joerg Jaeckel (Heidelberg University): Axion Theory
  • Massimo Pietroni (University of Parma): Introduction to Cosmology
  • Marko Simonovic (University of Florence): Large-Scale Structures

The school will take place this summer at the University of Padua from June 25 to July 4, 2024.

The applications will open on March 4, 2024.
