Director in his last address to FF members stated that he wants Administration and Forum should work independently. This we have tried to follow in my term as President FF. Prof. A.K. Saraf resigned from the post of Vice President FF immediately after becoming Head of the Department of ES. Also there was a resolution of Dean’s committee that no faculty member will hold position in Faculty Forum and in Faculty Club simultaneously. Dr. Katiyar resigned from the post of President FC when he was holding the post of President FF simultaneously after reminded about this resolution by administration.

In the first meeting of elected FF Executive Committee, I had informed the incoming executive members about this and suggested omission of the members holding key post in administration. Some of these members have used their position in administration to negotiate with Faculty Forum EC members during IV pay revision move (2009-11). They have lured FFEC members to get position in administration or favour in faculty selection (few got also) if they drop the resolution of going on strike as per FFEC resolution. In fact they were feeding almost live deliberation of FF EC meetings to the than Director and in the mentioned case, immediately after FFEC resolution to call a protest against MHRD, Director called the EC members individually and explained in his style.

Further In the first meeting of elected FF Executive Committee it was resolved to nominate Dr. Tina (Arch) and Dr. Yadav (Hydrology) as EC nominated members along with others. These names are somehow changed without information of FFEC. Also the minutes of GBM held at IPT Saharanpur had recorded many non-resolved items (cautioned by Vice President after draft minutes were circulated).

There is no information about the utilization of fund collected for Uttrakhand welfare. It is more than 2 months now.

I suggest that we should be fair first in our dealing than only we will get strength to question others.
