New faculty disenfranchisement

Special membership drive is on for last 1 year. Two month salary of office staff for the month of Nov. & Dec. was held up when satisfactory result in membership drive was not obtained. As per my information all faculty not member of Faculty Forum has been invited by Secretary by an invitation letter enclosed with membership form. Mr N.K. Verma will vouch for it (our office Clark).
The list circulated by you includes mostly names who have been invited with membership form by Secretary FF. Unfortunately there is one who was our active member but is no more in this world hence seized his membership (Dr. U. C. Kothiyari). There are few who have retired from the IITR and few who are not faculty member. Remaining are those who have resigned from their membership. Please check the number this year it is much more than it was during your tenure as Executive Committee member.

I am surprised that the President Faculty Forum is quite flippant about the issue of the new faculty members, some of whom have joined as way back as two years ago, are not members of the faculty forum and therefore ineligible to vote.

This issue referrers entirely the term of the incumbent and I for one would like to know who he is going to blame for this.

Or will he act Presidential and accept one fault for once with humility and apologize to these young colleagues. (a partial list is given below of only a handful of depts)

After all the buck should stop at the top.

Let us put a stop to this form of alienation once and for all and vote for change.
