Hi Tejaswi,

We’re looking to hire two people in the FIC trading franchise at DB Centre.

We need at least one year of prior work experience. Exposure to the financial markets is not necessary.

Here’s a brief overview of one of the roles:

Core Rates and FX Hybrids Trading Desk, Japan:

The  desk trades a range of OTC products including Rates-FX Hybrids such as Power Reverse Dual Currency Notes, Long Term FX Options, Superball, Reverse Dual Notes, Digital Coupon structures; Rates Exotics such as Multicallables and FX Exotics such as TPF, Dual Digitals, Uridashi bonds, etc for both Asset and Liability side clients. Deutsche Bank is the undisputed leader in this space. The Tokyo desk has always been the front-runner in terms of implementing new projects focusing on improving efficiency and business infrastructure.

The role will involve working closely with traders from Japan and London and interaction with various other teams including, but not limited to sales, structuring, middle office, finance, IT and treasury. The person recruited will also help set up pricing and risk infrastructure, as well as develop business intelligence for new and existing business.

Responsibilities

Hybrid Pricing

  • Directly handle the indicative price requests for hybrid structured notes and yield-enhancing products in the Japanese market.
  • Contribute to increase in trading efficiency to capture new business opportunities and improve profitability
  • Run Vol Calibrations, Barrier/Exercise event analysis, evaluate complex cross-gamma risks through extensive scenario analysis for the Tokyo desk

Exotics and Swaptions Desk

  • Assist the Exotics Trader in risk analysis and management of single-currency exotics books
  • Daily Risk and PnL analysis for the Swaptions book
  • Help trading in any ad-hoc requirement from a risk management perspective

Swaps Desk & CRD-IV Reduction

  • Cross-gamma analysis for the cross-currency basis books
  • Assist the desk during the LCH coupon blending cycles and JSCC compressions
  • Estimation of exposure reduction in bilateral compressions involving cross-currency swaps, basis swaps and evaluating the hedges that need to be booked

Thanks for your help Tejaswi! Any chance you could forward this to the other branches’ counselors as well?

Regards,

Jay S. Pagnis
