Greetings from Chemical Engineering Society (ChES) !
ChES in association with the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras is proud to present the 9th edition of its Annual Technical Festival ChemClave from March 3rd - 5th, 2017. We call it our annual celebration of the Spirit of Chemical Engineering rather than just some annual technical fest.
Born in 2008, with the dream of promoting technology, scientific thinking and innovation in the field of Chemical Engineering, ChemClave has passed 9 golden editions and today it is successfully planning towards its 10th edition. It provides an opportunity to all the budding Chemical Engineers to compete, exchange ideas, collaborate and learn and of course have fun all under the same roof.

3. Lectures & Workshops
The lectures and workshops series in ChemClave’16 aims to form a bridge between industry and academia, where students and professionals can interact on a common platform. The students will experience engaging talks and demonstrations by eminent people and will get a chance to witness how practical problems are tackled from an engineering viewpoint. The hands-on-sessions are appreciated with the certificates!
3.1 Aspen:
This is a wonderful opportunity for the participants to perceive the flavor of Aspen - a Process simulation and optimization software for modelling systems and simulating, which helps in optimizing chemical equipment. It is a good start for people who wish to learn it all from the scratch.

3.2 Comsol:
Comsol is a finite element analysis software package for various physics and engineering applications especially coupled phenomena. Wide variety of modules can be seamlessly combined to handle challenging multi-physics application through COMSOL. Participants will gain overall view of all modules that are importance to cheme.
